Church Health & Development
SUGGESTED RESOURCES FOR SPIRITUAL HEALTH
The way our church members interact with God, both individually and collectively, reflect our spiritual health.
Soul Care Ministry
Most people try to take care of their body, but far fewer pay as much attention to their soul. There could be inner issues that hinder our spiritual growth. Soul Care Ministry has helped many Christians to deal with their baggage or bondage and experience freedom in Christ.
Church Renewal Movement
The CR movement has helped many churches to experience renewal. Pastors are organized into small groups and mentored by trained leaders. Tools and materials are provided so that pastors could easily adapt and apply them to their own churches.
ORGANIZATIONAL HEALTH
The church body is comprised of many parts that are connected to one another with love, having Christ as her head.
Governance & HR Training
The importance of an effective and healthy governing board cannot be overstated. A healthy board, together with healthy pastor(s), will lead a healthy church. The Central District provides training for board of elders and advisory committee. If your board is interested in receiving training, please contact the DMC.
TRANSITION/REVITALIZATION
When a pastor moves on, changes in a church or ministry are inevitable. The Central District is commited to trying our best to provide support in such times of need.
Transitional Ministry
When a pastor moves on, it could be an opportunity for the church to re-examine some aspects of their ministries. In the district, there are some trained transitional pastors who can help in times of change. Both short-term (workshops, trainings, assessments) and longer-term (more thorough revitalization) engagements could be arranged. Please contact the DMC for further details.
Revitalization Partnership
Times of transition are excellent opportunity for revitalization. Churches could do it on their own, or they could partner with other churches on this journey. There may be some Central District churches that can provide supports and resources during times of change. To learn more about the revitalization partnership possibility, please contact the DMC.
